Frimas écarlate (Scarlet Frost) invites the viewer into a world where vibrant hues of red and white intertwine, evoking the intensity of passion and the crystallization of our deepest intentions. The composition, with its sharp contrasts and shimmering textures, mirrors the process of desire solidifying into clarity, like the first frost transforming the landscape. This work explores the delicate balance between fervor and stillness, where the drive to act becomes as tangible and defined as the ice that forms in the coldest moments. Created as part of the Segments approach, each loop immerses the viewer in the liminal space between reality and abstraction. Rendered from a custom performative system, each 100s 4K H.264 loop blends 3D structures, displacements, and transparency, creating layered depths and a sense of hovering motion.
